We are getting married, and the wedding is just around the corner! We want to get some info out to the public about the area, directions, the service, etc. Also, a little bit about ourselves, as you may not know both of us. After the wedding, non-wedding commentary will perhaps begin on these pages (screens?), though this may cover married life (fasciniting!)--I suspect it may also plug Barack Obama, at least until the primaries.
George is an artist (painter, specifically) and electro-mechanical assembler, originally from Central New York--North of Syracuse--who came to the North Shore to attend Montserrat College of Art. He loves the water, books, the Red Sox, music, church, painting, and animals, particularly penguins. In fact, he would like to own one someday, though Anna tries to tell him this may not be possible. He is extremely passionate, which is one of the many things Anna loves about him.
Anna is originally from Seattle, WA, and also came to the North Shore of Massachusetts for college--Gordon College, to be exact: a small Christian liberal arts school in Wenham. After graduating, she lived and taught English in China; now, she is working for a non-profit Chinese social services organization in Boston's Chinatown. She hopes to attend seminary at Regent College in Vancouver, B.C. Anna loves: the water, cities, books, social justice, travel, dogs, and a good nap. George claims that she is "compassionate", but her friends are skeptical.
We are so excited to begin life together, as we believe that God has provided us with the perfect partner in the other--not in an idealized way, but because we complement each other, in terms of strengths and weaknesses, we challenge each other, we support each other, and we take deep joy in each other's company. As we often note to each other, we truly feel as though we are best friends.
